I was so flattered when they asked me, they have had some very stylish ladies grace those pages :)
Its something I've wanted to do for a while, and I really am delighted with how it came out in the end, it gives a good cross-section of my style, which is pretty eclectic...  what do you guys think?

Outfit Post: Leather&Leopard

I spent a wonderfuly brisk winters day in town with my friend Saibh (who took these fine snaps, mind you) We stuffed our faces with med. melts and messy chips, while making big plans for the future. Funtimes indeed! This was also the first outing of my new favourite item of clothing, my new leather and horsehair jacket from Asos. At €160, it was an investment, but when I put it on, I can see why. The quality is unbeatable, and so warm! Im in love...

The Beat and the Pulse

Here is another outfit post that has crawled out of the woodwork! I wore this to go see the amazing band Austra play at the Roisin Dubh in Galway a while ago...  Honestly one of my favourite gigs I've seen in the Roisin, and they hold host to some pretty good ones!

Speaking of good gigs, Warpaint is coming up!! They're playing on thursday also at the Roisin, I cant waaaaaaaait... Im such a big fan, they were one of my favourites when I went to Primavera this summer. Check out an old post on them here. They're seriously talented all-girl rock group.

Belated Birthday Dinner

SHOES: EBAY
CLUTCH: PENNEYS/PRIMARK
DRESS: NEW LOOK

RING: GIFT! :D

Heres a (very) belated birthday post, from a few weeks back, unfortunately with all my photos being stuck on my shop-bound laptop, they ended up lost in the abyss for a while... But here they are in all their glory, I hope you like them. I had the most wonderful evening, I love Birthdays! I wanted to wear something simple and classic, and I think the cut and colour of this new look dress suits just perfectly! And check out the ring, what a sparkler eh? Its an opal, and casts out the most beautiful colours when the light hits it

I'm a lucky girl indeed :)

Peace,
WildChild,

Outfit Post: The Witching Hour

As promised, a little outfit post inspired by the movie "The Craft"... taken down by the sea on a (very) windy day with the lovely Saibh... as you can see I didn't go all out Catholic-schoolgirl-meets-gothic-grunge ala the Craft girls in this outfit, I think its better to take elements of that look and make it your own.... but I did make an effort with the crazy expressions!... although it never does seem to take any effort form me to make those....
as you can see I also finally got my beloved sheer maxi skirt I was hunting after all those posts ago... Rejoice!
LONG SLEEVED CROP- TOP:TOPSHOP
SHEER MAXI SKIRT: PENNEYS/PRIMARK
NECKLACE: TOPSHOP
RINGS: ASOS
Be sure to HYPE on LOOKBOOK if you like guys!

Public Romance

The Vintage Fair in Galway was absolutely amazing, with so much to do and see, not to mention all the amazing people involved.

I think I officially love interviewing now.

Unfortunately I didn't get much chance have a good root around the stalls for myself, however I did come across this bright and cheerful number in Sinead's Public Romance Stall.

I think the main thing that drew me to it was, apart from the bright colour palate of course, the fact that its completely unlike anything else in my wardrobe!

Its vintage 70's, extremely wide, not unlike a moo-moo actually...

but I just adore it!

I decided that alongside it i could showcase my new ankle skimming cardigan from Nasty Gal (my current obsession)

What is it about me and my maxi-lengths these days?

Just cant seem to get enough of 'em!

anyhow, my dress was my purchase of the day, and at just 20 bones, it was quite the vintage bargain!

I imagine a beautiful hippy-love-child of a girl wandering around Woodstock wearing it with flowers in her hair and no shoes... grooving to the Hendrix... or something

Peace,

Wide Eyed Fire Child,

x
