Painted Faces

Here's a sneak peak of an editorial shoot I did a few weeks ago for a magazine. How amazing is the makeup? If only I could get away with a look like that everyday... On another note, I absolutely adore getting to do shoots that have a more edgy, arty vibe. Oddly enough I find them so much more comfortable and easy to handle than the quintessentially pretty shoots, I love the idea of assuming different characters and facades, trying on different personalities, seeing how they fit... Its a very fun game to play indeed :)

Unfortunately I cant say what the pictures are for yet, but hopefully I can show you lovely readers the rest in a few months, when its due to be published...

Stay Tuned!

Sean McCormack

some of the finished shots from a shoot I did with the very talented photographer Sean McCormack recently...
Styling and hair by Byron Yeates
if you'd like to see the rest of the shots check out Sean's website here
Notice I used my beloved crystal skull in the last ones, I think it makes a mighty fine prop :)

Let me know what you guys think!

Betty & Pearl

a few cheeky behind-the-scenes snaps from a shoot I did a few days ago for my friend Jenny's accessory line Betty&Pearl, she makes gorgeous headpieces and handbags that are so delightfully unique and kitsch... we had stylist extraordinaire Byron doing the hair, and the uber talented photographer Yvonne Ryan behind the lens...
click on their names to see what they've been up to, you wont be disappointed :)

and be sure to check out the Betty&Pearl website here to have a look at all her goodies...

the shoot was a lot of fun and we were all joking around and throwing some ridiculous shapes for the camera...
It always helps having a nice playful vibe at shoots, I havent been doing it all that long, I think thats one of the most important things I've learned- to just have fun with it...

here are the finished shots,
hope you like them!
