CAN MISS INTERNATIONAL COME TO THE CHRISTMAS PARTY?

This was the question Today Show anchor Al Roker asked fellow anchor Matt Lauer this morning during the "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?" segment. Matt was holding court in Madrid's Plaza Mayor, and Miss International 2008 Alejandra Abreu modeled the gifts he bought for anchors Ann Curry and Natalie Morales (red shawl for Ann and fan for Natalie). News correspondent Peter Alexander modeled Al's gift (Real Madrid uniform), but it seems Al liked Alejandra more!

MISS INTERNATIONAL 2011 IS ECUADOR

In today's global beauty pageant double header, Miss Ecuador Fernanda Cornejo won the prestigious Miss International 2011 title during a glittering gala in Chengdu, China. First runner-up was Miss Venezuela Jessica Barboza, and second runner-up was Miss Mongolia Tugsuu Idersaikhan. Completing the top five were third runner-up Miss Panama Keity Mendieta and fourth runner-up Miss Puerto Rico Desiree del Rio de Jesus. Rounding out the top 15 were Miss Brazil Vanessa Rocha, Miss Latvia Lelde Paulsone, Miss Lebanon Maria Farah, Miss Netherlands Talitha Hertsenberg, Miss Philippines Dianne Necio, Miss Russia Yelena Chepilchenko, Miss Sweden Denice Andree, Miss Thailand Kantapat Peeradachainarin, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Renee Bhagwandeen, and Miss Vietnam Truong Tri Truc Diem.
