MISS GERMANY 2012

The new Miss Germany 2012 is beautiful, blonde Miss Schleswig-Holstein Isabel Gülck, 21. She won the coveted title yesterday during a contest at Europapark in Rust. A total of 23 women competed for the title. Isabel has looks that are Universe-worthy, but the Miss Germany title does not come with a ticket to Miss Universe. There is a separate contest for that ticket.

MISS AND MISTER BAVARIA 2012

The new Miss and Mister Bavaria 2012 (Miss und Mister Bayern 2012) are gorgeous, dark-haired Christina Trost, 23, and Dominic Fischer (ditto on the 23, gorgeous, and dark-haired, plus he stands 1m77). Miss Bavaria 2012 runners-up were Akgün Gülsen and Stefanie Fürst. In the men's department, the runners-up were Florian Keck and Daniel Griemer.  The venue for this year's Miss and Mister Bavaria 2012 contest, which was held yesterday, was again the main shopping mall in Nuremburg. 29 women and 7 seven competed for the coveted titles. If you add shopping mall, co-ed pageant, bademode, and lederhosen, you have what is probably one of Dean Harris' favorite pageants of the year! MISTER GERMANY 2011

Mister Niedersachsen Almondy Rose, 26 and 1m85, is the new Mister Germany 2011. He won the coveted title tonight during a contest in Linstow. First runner-up was blond Mister Westdeutschland Gary Moug, 21 and 1m95. Second runner-up was Mister Sachsen Enrico Reuter, 30 and 1m83. DAMEN UND HERREN

It is the high season in Germany, with those beloved co-ed (damen und herren) pageants (many in malls!) happening two or three times a week! This past weekend saw the election of Miss and Mister Baden-Württemberg 2011, Miss and Mister Berlin 2011, and Miss and Mister Mitteldeutschland 2011.

Sabrina Licata, 22, and Simon Weinert, 19, are the new Miss and Mister Baden-Württemberg 2011.

The new Miss and Mister Berlin 2011 are Maria Rosenthal, 21, and Tobias Schütz, 25. Dean Harris wants to poke Tobias on Facebook!

Sarah Stroh and Kevin Lohmer are the new Miss and Mister Mitteldeutschland 2011. Their pageant was held in a mall.
