The new Miss International Queen 2011 is Thailand's Sripassorn Athgayakorn. Nigeria and Lebanon were the runners-up. 17 countries were represented in the 7th annual pageant, held last night and televised live across Thailand from the beach resort of Pattaya. The Miss International Queen pageant promotes tolerance and positive attitudes towards transsexuals and transvestites. 2010's winner was Korea; 2009's winner was Japan.
